Vacancies for Coordinator at National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) - Feb 2012

Goverment Jobs & CNational Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), is a Public Trust with a mandate to contribute to the development of securities markets. NISM has taken up several initiatives in financial education, certification of market intermediaries, corporate governance, securities markets data, research and securities markets education.

As part of its strategy of marketing Financial Literacy Programmes, in general and the Pocket Money Initiatives for Schools in particular, NISM invites applications from Candidates based in Mumbai/Maharashtra, Ahmedabad/Gujarat, Chennai/Tamilnadu for a one year contractual assignment as Resource Persons and designating them as ‘Coordinator - Financial Literacy’, to be part of the marketing initiative of the Financial Literacy efforts of NISM.

Designation of the Resource Person – “Coordinator – Financial Literacy”:

Essential Profile:

Age: Preferably between 25 to 35 years

Educational Qualification/s: Post graduate in Commerce/ Economics/ Management / Social Sciences

Communication Skills : Excellent oral and written communication skills are a pre-requisite with good knowledge of local language. Ability to make presentations is necessary both in English and the Regional Language. Good interpersonal skills are essential.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Office with tools of MS Excel, usage of Internet extensively.

Experience : Exposure in liaisoning with Schools and Colleges, Educational Organisations, Government / Semi Government and Private Organisations/ Agencies/ Autonomous Institutes involved in education sector with very good networking skills. Exposure to educational initiative and ability to take sessions on financial literacy would be given preference. Exposure to training is desirable.

Willingness to travel : Job involves extensive travelling.

Compensation :

The Compensation package will comprise of fixed and variable components. Fixed component would be in the range of Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/-p.a. depending on location, educational qualifications, experience of the candidate and other relevant factors. In computing the variable component, emphasis would be on deliverables laid down by NISM-SEBI. NISM reserves its right to increase or decrease the compensation payable on merits of each case as assessed by them.
